Our Mission

Moenavi (MOO-na-vee) Clothing LLC is an unusual business in that it is a for-profit charity. We generate profit through the sale of our Hot Toddy Wear wool hats, and then we use this money to fund our charitable goals.  Our charitable goals are  to manufacture from fleece fabrics warm winter hats, mittens, and neck warmers, and to then distribute these to homeless men, women, and children through homeless shelters.  

 You might be thinking that we probably only use a small percentage of our profits to fund this work, and that although the money is spent on a good cause what we are really after is the tax deduction.  But this would not be correct.  In fact, 100% of our after-tax profit is used to fund the charitable side of our business -- that’s right 100%.    
We are committed to using our profits to help people who are going through bad times, and find themselves out on the streets, usually through no fault of their own.  Our profits are used to directly help these people stay a little warmer on a frigid winter’s night.  

This, then, is what Moenavi Clothing is all about:
